Get to know Author John Nicholson

Author John Nicholson is a retirement and financial planning expert who began his financial services career in the late 1990s providing financing for building and home improvement projects. John later became insurance licensed in 2009 offering retirement planning through annuities and other services.

He founded The 401k Man.com in 2011 and had an office in downtown Chicago's financial district for a number of years right next door to the Chicago Mercantile Exchange in the heart of the financial district. His interest in crypto began simultaneously right around this time as it was initially introduced in 2011 to the mainstream.

Today he manages the Alternative Investments Center and writes on the quickly evolving alternatives investments space. Once The Genius Act & Clarity Acts were passed John recognized a lack of knowledge in the general public and set out to provide some clarity through the AlternativeInvestments.Center website and book published in 2026 " A Crypto Evolution"
